The Peacock Wedding…
Our big day has come and gone. Hard to believe. Here are some snippets from the big day. 1. The wedding party on the shores of Lake Superior. All the maids with their mismatched dresses which I wrote about here. 2. The handmade peacock boutonniere’s which I gave a tutorial on here. 3. Our wedding rings. Mine was customized by my groom at Arthur’s Jewelers. I ordered his ring (with a stripe of polished wood) from a custom jeweler in Wisconsin named Johan. 4. Vintage purses which I added peacock feathers to for each bridesmaid. I discussed the vintage bags here. 5. The vintage brooch which I customized with oatmeal peacock feathers and added to my wedding dress. 6. & 7. My groom designed our Save The Dates, Invitations, Ceremony Programs and also these menu inserts (all of which we had printed at FedEx, we talked about this process here). 8. The bouquet I handmade from felted roses, tulle and heirloom family jewelry—I captured it all right here. 9. The purse my mom made and hand embroidered for my big day, I gave a preview of it here. 10. Peacock themed gift bags that guests got upon check-in. 11. Peacock feather tennis shoes that were custom made by a close friend. 12. The bridesmaids bouquets which I spent several months hand-making from tulle, feathers and assorted flowers. 13. The soap I made with Josh’s mom as favors for all of the guests. We talked about that here. 14. & 15. We DIY’ed a s’more bar for our Friday night dinner and a candy bar for Saturday’s reception. 16. Centerpieces!
